Box Cañon Falls and Nature Center is a must-see for any visitor to Ouray, Colorado. It's where Canyon Creek meets the Uncompahgre River, which has carved out a narrow quartzite gorge. The water shoots through the gorge with so much force and power that it's quite a sight. With a short walk, you can walk 500 feet to the base of the thundering falls, and there's a high bridge, perimeter trail, and nature center for exploring the area and soaking up the scenery.

Box Canon Falls is open from May to October. Enticing the park is a small fee, but it is absolutely worth it! Note that dogs are not allowed on the trail because of the metal bridges and the proximity to water.
